Inside, Florence Court reveals room after room of exquisite Georgian craftsmanship. The elaborate rococo plasterwork—particularly the ceiling of the Dining Room—ranks among the finest in Ireland.

The Original Irish Yew

Perhaps Florence Court's most significant natural treasure stands in the garden: the original Irish Yew tree. Around 1780, tenant farmer George Willis found two unusual yew seedlings on Cuilcagh Mountain. He planted them at Florence Court, where one survived and became the parent tree from which virtually every Irish Yew worldwide has descended.

Grounds and Gardens

The 700-acre demesne provides multiple walking trails through varied habitats. The Walled Garden, currently undergoing restoration, demonstrates Victorian kitchen gardening methods.
